Who's going to the Bills game?
I was going to just sell my tickets but it's supposed to be in the mid-50s and sunny tomorrow, so I figured it would be a hell of a scene in the stadium and pre-game.
If nothing else, we might just go down to The Banks to hang out before and during the game because, like I said, the atmosphere should be pretty crazy.
Then again, everyone will be out at bars and restaurants around here, so it should be pretty crazy.
Might just put my tickets up for a stupid amount and see if anyone bites and just go if not.
This is a HUGE game for us!
I think a win proves that the early season struggles were a fluke and that we can play with anyone.
Who's all going?
If we do go, I doubt we tailgate, but, like I said, The Banks or we could come say hi if anyone else is tailgating.
Let me know!

Bengals on SNF at home |

When was the last time the Bengals played at home on SNF during the regular season?
I remember Week #2 in 2004 when the Bengals hosted the Dolphins on SNF but that was when ESPN had the SNF package.
Since NBC has had the SNF package since 2006 I don't think the Bengals have hosted a SNF game during the regular season

First Quarter we went 1-3. The bengals scored 12.25 pts for, and let up 23.5 against. We averaged 236 yards in offense and gave up 364 yards on defense.
The opposing teams we played have averaged 22 pts and 332 yards on offense. The opposing teams allowed 302 yards and 19.5 pts on defense.
This means we gave up 1.475 points and 32 yards more on defense over the teams (to date) opponents. This also means we underperformed on offense and fell short on offense by 66 yards and 7.25 points.
We have our last game of the second quarter and are currently 3-0. The bengals have scored 27.3 points per game, giving up 16.7. We have averaged 331 yards on offense, and allowed 379 on defense. We are scoring over double, and limiting opponents to under 17 a game. On offense we are averaging almost 100 yards more per game.
This means held our opponents to 6.7 points less than their average while allowing them 37 yards more on defense over the teams (to date) opponents. This also means we underperformed on offense from a yardage standpoint by only 2.3 yards but scored 6.1 more than their season average.
If we can look past the first abysmal first quarter with the injury and projected our second quarter pts/yards over 7 games (not fair, but it is what it is).
Our rankings are as follows:
Yards O - 13th
Pts O - 5th (tied with SF)
Yards D - 28th
Pts D - 3rd
___________
Long story short, we have greatly improved in some areas and are still objectively bad in others. Some garbage time yards in the two bigger wins (Arizona and San Fran) have really skewed the defense yards, but it needs to get cleaned up.

We’re getting to the point where no base defense limits us anymore |

Last year it was cover 2, cover 4 and quarters that we had issues with.
This year blitz man was hurting us because Burrow was hurt
With the inclusion of RPOs and a more efficient run game we’re getting to the point where we are able to dictate what defenses do because there isn’t a base D that limits us.
I think after we win the Bills game, teams will stop blitzing us and we’ll get more of the defenses Mahommes get where teams just say eff it and out 7-8 in coverage every play.
This run is gonna be fun. All the years of being defended a certain way are paying off and atp the only way to trick Burrow now is to bait him into making him see something that isn’t there. I think he only had like 1 turnover worthy throw last Sunday. Doing that against the 49ers is insane

Pay Who? |

I wanted to save this question for the offseason, but I just couldn't resist. The team is flush with $50 plus million in cap space in 2024. We know Chase is going to get paid this offseason for sure. I know many have expressed their feelings against paying Tee, but my question is who else will/needs to get paid other than Chase and Tee? One can say Jonah, but who knows what we will offer and if he even wants to stay. I, for one am willing to pay Tee to stay because I think he makes our offense that much move lethal. Yes we can draft a receiver high, and yes we have a good track record of doing so. But do we really want to get in the "Burrow can make anyone look good" conversation? If you have top talent, pay you top guys if you can. I understand its a business and the player has to do what is best for them. But lets not discount Tee and what he has brought to this team. He has been a big part of our success and I wish him to stay here if the numbers add up. If not then who?

I am surprised it isn't going to be Cris Collinsworth but very happy to hear it is Kevin and Clark
referee is Alex Kemp who is in love with the yellow flag. His team throws the flag an average of 20 times per game. More against the visiting team through. He averages 2 more offensive holding calls than any other referee team. Maybe Trey and Sam will get some calls
