This is the new 'restricted from P&R' tool. We can restrict someone from the P&R forum only for a certain number of days. That person is still able to go to other forums and post, just not P&R.

You said this feature can be used anywhere, but is only needed in P&R. I'm just giving a suggestion for using elsewhere to cause epic meltdowns among the emotionally fragile bengal fans still distraught over the latest beatdown by the Steelers clean up Smack Talk.

This is a better feature than a straight up ban. Even if someone receives multiple suspensions from PnR, hopefully it wouldn't lead to a perma-ban and the poster eventually is re instated.  We all know PnR is gonna get emotions flowing, hopefully Ban hammers are used with discretion.

this gives us a nice alternative action. A lot of otherwise good posters come to pnr and lose all common sense and civility. When that happens, hopefully the time out will sober them up.

My policy is not to discuss particular disciplinary actions. However, I will make this general statement over recent disciplinary actions: All recent suspensions have been due to comments in posts concerning other posters. We do not police the topics in P&R, outside of making sure language and presentation of ideas are within board standards. People are generally free to express their ideas. And other people are free to comment on those ideas. The line is drawn when someone makes comments about another person rather than that persons expressed ideas, or making assumptions about what a person thinks beyond what they have written on the board.
